Hello Readers!
Hoolah! I am very happy to pronounce that I am
officially engaged to my ex-boyfriend and now my fiancé, GARY GALLOGO.
Now, I am sharing to you this joyful chapter of my
life.
This year, Gary and I were already on the stage of
talking about settling down, about finally be ‘together forever’, about getting married! Well, a proposal is just out of
the picture (Oh! that was what I have
thought). ‘Cause… Gary
proposed to me in the crack of dawn of November 29, two days before their
schedule of “Pamamanhikan”.
I was really in delight and at the same time, tense few weeks before our engagement. I really had mixed feelings. I keep on asking, what will happen on an Engagement party? What to wear? Who are the invitees? And so on. I guess any girl would feel the same way I did when you are real soon come into the point of getting engaged! Gary, on the other hand, was full of excitement, and also so tense. Hahaha! The feeling was really mutual.
November 29, 2012 when his father and grandmother
arrived in CDO from their hometown in Dinagat Islands.
Gary then
texted me about it, I was then shaking and compelling this thought to sink into
my nerves: “THIS IS IT, BEVELYN!”
So, here comes the day I have waited, that
eventually the man of my dreams together with his family would finally ask for
my hands from my parents and family. And, I swear I was the happiest alive!
Indeed, we have welcomed DECEMBER with a BANG!!!
DECEMBER
1, 2012 is the day. I was really floating the whole day. I was really
excited as I woke up in the morning until the party at 6 o’clock in the
evening. I was like feeling nervous, uneasy, excited, happy… and all those incredible
feelings on Earth. LOL.
BUT, you know, all of those mixed feelings were all vanished the moment we have arrived in the area (at Buffalo Resto Grill, Velez St., CDO). His family seemed to be so happy to see me and my family. I was amazed by their warmed welcome. Then, one of his Aunt cracks a joke, like when I did the “Mano” she told me “Iganid jud ha.” Asking me to do the Mano to everyone, and Hmmm… I wasn’t ashamed anymore.
In there to
represent Gary’s
family were Papa Alan, Lola Ining, Mama Aping, Mama Carmen, and Cousins: Ate
Cha, Ate Lalaine, Ahmad, and lovely niece Lehyan. Together with me was my Mama
Yeng, Aunts: Nanette, Evangeline, Jijie, Chalyn, Josie, my Bestfriend KC, and
alooooooot of cousins!
At exactly 6:45 in the evening, the PAMALAYI thing was started. Gary’s dad, Papa Alan, did the traditional dialogue, that they were there for a reason and that reason was asking my hand, His Son’s girlfriend, for a marriage.
I cannot forget this statement of Papa Alan, “Dili sayon ni ilang naagian pag-Sendong.
Pila ka-tulay ang giagian ug kada-tunga nila, sila ra gihapon duha ang nag-uban.
Dili lalim maanod ka sa baha nga nagsapupo ug uyab. Karon, gusto naman sila
mag-Till death do as part. Mao’ng
suportahan gyud ni nato.” Hahaha!
The whole time Papa Alan was talking about this, everyone is laughing and of teary-eyes. Certainly because everyone thought that we
are really meant for each other. And, ofcourse, after Sendong I really have
realized that I have already found the right one, the man that would save me
all over again and again, the man I will share my forever with.
Spread the Love!
♥
