Hello
Readers!
It’s been a while since I have posted a blog. Pardon
for the past weeks and months seemed to be so hectic for me and for my fiancé.
Well, because wedding preparation has officially started right after our
Engagement.
My first impression about planning a one in a lifetime
wedding was a very challenging and a vast thing to do but can be so fun as
well.
One thing I’m glad about is that, me and Gary are the
ones who did all of the major decisions and planning because we haven’t
hired a Wedding planner. Because, of course, aside from we can save some
amount, we also personally wanted to do the hands-on work for our own wedding.
Here
are the first things we did;
First thing couple should do before anything else is secure
the CHURCH. So, Gary and I went to our Parish, filled-up the application form have
been interviewed by the Parish priest, paid the booking fee, and then have the
date set!
Second, Secure the HOTEL for the reception. We have inquired
for a reasonable hotel in the city just near the Church, paid the reservation
fee, and have the date booked!
Third, Gary
and I then thinking where could have been the Honeymoon after the wedding, and because
it is cheaper to book plane tickets ahead, so we then have booked a plane
ticket to our Honeymoon destination.
Accordingly, we have the three bookings above done; we can
now proceed to other things. Since, Gary and I are both working on weekdays I
have made a timetable of our “To Do’s”. We really got an eye
first securing our legal requirements without hampering our both job.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS like;
1 CENOMAR or Certificate of
No Marriage
2 NSO Authenticated Birth
Certificates
3 Baptismal Certificates
with “Free To Marry” notation
4 Confirmation Certificates
5 City Health and Pre-cana
Seminars
6 Parental Advices
7 and lastly, the MARRIAGE
LICENSE!
The moment we had completed all the legal requirements
needed by the City Civil Registrar and the Church, I’ve thought that this
is it!!! I am marrying in few months. Hahaha!
On our way processing all those marriage requirements, we
are also on our way searching for good wedding suppliers. I believe that the
outcome of your wedding day, either good or bad, roughly depends on who your
wedding suppliers are. The suppliers were really chosen wisely by me and Gary.
Each and every supplier we hired are whom I believe can give us the best
services.
So, slowly by slowly we got suppliers booked.
First thing Gary and I met up was the Videographer and the
Photographer. We have invested some amount for the video and photo coverage
because I know that after your wedding, the ones that will be left with you are
the… memories.
Next to booked are the Event Stylist (for flowers and
decors), Bridal Shop (for my bridal gown and tuxedo for my groom), another
Bridal Shop (for my Entourage wardrobe), Reception Host/Emcee, person for the
Invitations, and recently, the Hair and Make-Up Artist.
Yey. We’re halfway to setting up everything. I know
there’s so much things left to do for the next two months. I left it
everything to God.
Thank you for reading.
Spread the Love!!!
