Have you ever
experienced attending a wedding where as you stand in line at the buffet area,
waiting for your turn to get food, your eyes can’t help but wander
around? What are the things that you have noticed?
Flowers, table
arrangements, drapery, ribbons, candles, colors – all these are
components of your wedding design. Commonly, the design is patterned to an
over-all motif or theme of a wedding. Your wedding design could also be as
important as what you feed your guests. It is what appears on your video and
wedding pictures. It is what sets the vibe of your celebration. A good design
is not totally dependent on how much money you have, but on how much effort you
exert on planning – or for some, finding the right people to do it.
When more
colors aren’t enough to explain or describe the ambience you want for
your celebration, wedding theme can help you make it happen.
A wedding theme
pertains to a specific idea or concept that you want for your wedding. It can
be inspired by a favorite movie, a particular era, your sense of style, or
something that you really love to do – like travel.
Choosing your
wedding theme need not be a complicated task. One important thing you may want
to ask yourself thought is this: “Does
our wedding theme reflect our personality as a couple?”
Three popular
Wedding Themes are: Beach Theme, Garden Theme, and Winter Wonderland Theme.
During the
early part of the planning period, Gary and I chose to have a Red and Gold
wedding motif. But it has changed when I have once dropped by one bridal shop
in the city and saw how stunning Teal Green gowns are. We have then considered
Teal Green as the main color motif and thinking to have it paired up with a
Light Pink accent bringing a calm and vivid wedding environment.
YES! The teal green
color motif is just a perfect choice because this year’s lucky color is
Green! And because our wedding day falls down on a Summer, the choice of a
vibrant color motif is just right.
By then, I was
thinking that having a wedding theme can only be afforded by richy rich couples
J So, we are only looking at a
wedding motif. *____*
Two months
after, we’ve met Ms. Clay Tan, an event stylist. She introduced to us
different possibilities in order to have our dream wedding come true (in less
expense).
True, indeed,
it made us more excited for our wedding. ^_^
